Sex & Nudity

- One character is very clumsy and falls a lot into very sexual positions with her naughty bits being covered by different objects each time. This is meant to be comedic but it can be too explicit for some people.
- There is a scene where all of the characters eat a food that had been tampered with and it made all of the characters become very "Sexy" and lustful. Nothing too explicit happens on screen but many characters are panting and one runs their hand up and down a sword. This was meant to be a prank but it backfired and was played for comedic effect.
- A character tries to seduce another character by putting her knee on his crotch, but is stopped by someone else when she enters the room.
Violence & Gore

- Many violent and gory acts are committed more or less on screen with minimal censorship in the form of a black bar across the worst parts. You still see a large amount of blood regardless. Some of the acts include basically any form of killing you can imagine due to brainwashing and generally sadistic characters.
- A character tries to kill another character with an ice pick.
- In a character's execution,they are hit in the eye and arm with an iron ball, impaled in the right foot, has a large boomerang hit them against a wall when they reach the end of it, she opens a door then reach out for another character's hand, but it's actually an illusion. The characters fade away and a spear impales her chest. As the character falls back, a bed of some more spears catch her, almost killing her. Blood splatters across the floor and that's the the end.
- The anime is very violent and gory at times however all blood in the show is a bright hot pink color
Profanity

- Minor curse words such as damn, ass, hell, piss, etc.
- The word shit is used a few times, mainly by Nekomaru.
- The word "whore" is used once.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Koichi has a hangover in the first episode.
- Junko and Mukuro are both shown drinking alcohol in the back of a limousine.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Many characters are brainwashed and manipulated in disturbing ways including having to watch violent acts committed in front of their eyes. Many screams of pain and agony can be heard among everything going on screen. Certainly not for the faint of heart.
- Episodes 7 and 10 feature some the most disturbing scenes in the entire series and can be downright sickening to some people, irregardless of the blood being pink.
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
- Mikan's reaction to extreme violence, gore or suffering while she's under Junko's influence is reminiscent of an orgasm. This is intended to be disturbing.
- A boy is seen showering under a waterway. His bare buttocks are in full view. No frontal nudity.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The student council mass murder is the most violent, intense, and disturbing scene in the entire Danganronpa series (including the visual novels).
- Enoshima uses Mitarai's brainwashing technology to make the entire reserve course commit mass suicide.
- Junko murders Chiaki with traps in a dungeon to break the sanity of Class 77-B. During this, Chiaki is impaled in her foot with spikes, hit in the eye and arm with metallic balls, thrown against the wall with a boomerang, and impaled in the knee with a spear. After seeing an illusion of her classmates, a harpoon is shot through Chiaki's chest, then she is impaled by several spears from the ground, as blood splatters all over the floor.
- Chiaki's final conversation with Izuru (formally Hajime) and her death can be very heartbreaking. She attempts to get him to remember their time together and that he is Hajime, but fails to do so. She then sobs uncontrollably and desperately says she doesn't want to die, wanting to be with her classmates and play games with Hajime one more time while Izuru watches with no reaction or expression to her pain and distress.
