Cute Christmas short

Warning: Spoilers
This was a neat Christmas-themed animation.

While the animation and the song used on it were nice enough, it is the heartwarming plot what makes this short a very enjoyable experience despite its brevity, only needing two minutes to tell an endearing story that goes directly to the point.

In that sense, "Lily & the Snowman" manages to be more effective than many other Christmas-themed specials I've seen on television during these days.

The ending was very sweet. Definitely worth-watching.

A beautiful short Christmas animation that's as pretty, pure and precious as the gently falling diamond glints of snow... X!

Warning: Spoilers
Talking about this feels a bit out of season now as it's one of those ones that are really best enjoyed around Christmastime, but I couldn't resist as it's just so amazingly sweet, it's even put a tear in my eye before, which is something I'm always very impressed by when a short has such a brief running time. It really does tell a complete little modern fable that has a beginning middle and end and it's one that makes you feel something, or at least it did that for me.. It's the heartwarming story of a little girl who grew up and at some point along the way forgot all about the magical snowman friend who she had such joyful times with as a child, and of how she remembers after she's reminded of him by something and learns as she and her own little daughter sit and play with her old friend again the true value of childhood wonder and how, just because you're not a child, it doesn't mean you must forget the preciousness of the little fleeting things from the past that no matter how much you change, will always be a part of you deep inside and will never leave your heart. This is a lovely and near-perfectly done little short that should be watched every year in late December along with the other more well known beloved animations and movies that help you get into the festive spirit. So have a Happy Christmas when it arrives, and never forget the things that really make you happy!!! XXX

At least two ways to see this

Warning: Spoilers
Although it involves a beautifully realized snowman and the winter season the impact is easily transferred to other areas of human life.

Little girl builds magical snowman who creates images of wonder. She loads him on a cart and places him in a refrigerator along with her teddy bear who is not animated to keep him company and comes back from time to time to just open the fridge door and say hello, that's it. The snowman inside becomes miserable immediately thereafter and goes into suspended animation.. As time goes by the girl becomes an adult and FORGETS HER FRIEND until a chance occurrence causes her to remember him and rush home to be happily reunited with him. The woman's look alike small daughter joins the her with the snowman in the snowy backyard for more magical times.

This is a variation on Frosty the Snowman and 2015's wonderful The Snowman and The Snowman and the snow dog.

Crushingly sad but with a great ending to make it an animation for the ages. Two minutes I'll always remember.
