- Oskar and David offer Tina their excuses. Clara brings Tina the idea to toss a coin to choose between both young men but the coin ends standing up. Adrian and Oskar wander together in the mountains. Adrian has to go back the next day. When Oskar roams through the wilderness alone he steps into a bear trap. Melanie has lost her husband through her bipolar disorder. Friedrich tries to make mayor André interested in a deal with him. Melanie is well dressed because she has a chic dinner with André. At the end of the dinner Melanie spontaneous starts to play a song loud and false. Will she spoil something? Adrian thinks mother left him and dad because she didn't care; she took his favorite son William with her. Clara tactically withdraws her love letter she wrote him. In the nearness of Clara Desirée and Beatrice talk on purpose about the golden cross but a loud lawn mower makes their talk idle. Beatrice makes Melanie believe she has high debts and that is why Desirée stole the cross from Lucien. In front of Tina Desirée provokes a reconciliation with Clara. Adrian hears from Clara that Desirée stole the cross for her mother. Desirée confesses the story and Adrian comforts her.—B. Dijkhoff
