Lake of Shadows: The Legend of Avocado Lake follows a group of young aspiring film makers as they set out to uncover the truth about a local urban legend at a mysterious lake resort. Lake of Shadows will combine the sub genre of found footage and traditional horror as the team seeks out a legend of a large man eating fish that lives in the lake. This documentary horror film combines urban legend with fact and incorporates the sub genre of found footage.
Avocado Lake is located in Fresno County, the heart of the Central Valley in California. The lake is known for an unusual high number of unexplained drowning deaths. Stories have been told over the years surrounding these deaths and what lurks below. Many local residents believe the lake is haunted.
