Film Review - Everything You Want (2017) 6.7/10

"Alessandro (Carpenzano), on the face of it, is like any number of an adolescent, working-class yob in Rome, dropped out of school and has no fixed job, he is thick as thieves with Riccardo (Bruni), Tommi (Propizio) and Leo (Vitiello), and covertly engages some hanky-panky with Riccardo's mother Claudia (Finocchiaro). But his lounging days are going to change when he reluctantly accepts the odd job as a walking companion of the 85-year-old poet Giorgio (Montaldo), who is afflicted with Alzheimer's, but sane and ambulatory enough to be a beacon figure to set Alessandro onto the right track, especially by his writings etched on the walls of his study, it may or may not conceal the clues of a hidden treasure, that is what Alessandro and his co. determines to find out."

A delightful en yet deep movie with minimal and powerful gestures. Highly recommended for Young people - or anyone who likes human stories and wants to abolish stereotypes of generaton conflicts.

Outstanding coming of age story

This is an outstanding coming of age story set in Rome with a marvelous character arc for the protagonist. Supporting characters are well written as well and that makes you invested in the story from the beginning to the end. Highly recommended!

embarrassing banality

The millionth story of redemption, this movie is a copy of dozens of other films/books etc etc, is also too far away from the reality of the place that i know 'cause i live in Rome and knowing the reality of the youth told, it is almost annoying to think about the possibility of redemption of this kind of people. This kind of fairy tail would need different characters to be at least believable.

Trivial the technical part, trivial the characters, trivial the story you know how it ends since the first 5 minutes, too many unuseful fillings.

One of the worst movie ever seen without being a b-movie, the most sad thing is that this one received some awards, that tells also a lot about this kind of competions.
