A report on the VIII Art Exhibition of the GDR, which took place from October 1, 1977 to April 1, 1978 in Dresden's Albertinum and in the exhibition center at Fucíkplatz. The developments and tendencies in the official art business of the GDR in the late 1970s are recognizable, with the focus on painting and sculpture. Five works by Horst Sakulowski (portrait after service), Sighard Gille (brigade celebration), Heidrun Hegewald (child and parents), Arno Rink (Canto Libre) and Willi Sitte (Im LMW) are presented in great detail by the artists in original sound and discussed by the exhibition visitors.
