Well, this is truly a superb episode. Peter Weller directed this episode and it explains a lot. This episode requires multiple viewings to catch every nuance. Watch how the other actors are swimming in a scene when Robert Taylor dominates. It's like watching an Acting 101 class while students are trying to remember their lines while doing a scene. The only time when someone comes close is that beautiful scene with Peter Weller on their final meeting. I'm not sure how they got through it without multiple breakdowns. I rewound certain scenes to re-watch. Yes...it's that good.

Warning: Spoilers
We've been waiting for this episode. When that ugly, self-centered prosecuting attorney is murdered, it makes things even worse for Walt. It's amazing how vilified he is when his success rate in dealing with complicated issues is so high. Of course, the Mayor and the other powers that be see him as a stumbling block to filling their pocketbooks. Walt makes the mistake of getting drunk the night this guy is murdered, which is a convenient way of making his actions questionable. That's one part I didn't like. But there is beauty in his kind relationship with Vic after she suffers a great loss. And then, the former sheriff. I will say no more. Watch this.
One of Longmire's best

This is easily one of Longmire's best episodes. It has a bit of everything. There are so many layers going on here. It's also perhaps the most bad-ass western styled episode out of the whole show. I couldn't help but smile.
It's bittersweet and heartbreaking at times. The kind of episode that leaves you catching your breath after the credits start to roll.
Everyone is at the top of their game here. I have no idea if anyone was nominated for awards on the back of Longmire, but if so, this episode could've easily been responsible.
Excellent direction by Peter Weller. It's episodes like this that make Longmire one of my favourite TV shows. Well done everyone.

Warning: Spoilers
So, Walt goes to the bar & demands that Henry take his keys, obviously planning on tying one on. Does Henry keep his eyes on Walt? No, he gets involved in phone conversation & completely ignores his friend downing glass after glass and his employee pouring and pouring.
But evidently, Walt not only had ability to recover from rattlesnake venom, but to wake up and drive the next morning & conduct himself without a headache or red eyes.
Somewhere in the transfer from A&E to Netflix, the writers either lost track of the quietly intense character they had written in the first three years & rewrote him as someone incapable of any self-control whatsoever.
Like a lot of people, I find watching the final season really really painfully embarrassing.
