If the controversy surrounding HBO’s “Confederate” was already a bonfire, Amazon Studios just threw gasoline on it. Deadline is reporting that for several months, the platform has been developing its own alternate history series, entitled “Black America,” with producers Will Packer and Aaron McGruder.

Deadline describes the series as follows:
[‘Black America’] envisions an alternate history where newly freed African Americans have secured the Southern states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama post-Reconstruction as reparations for slavery, and with that land, the freedom to shape their own destiny. The sovereign nation they formed, New Colonia, has had a tumultuous and sometimes violent relationship with its looming “Big Neighbor,” both ally and foe, the United States. The past 150 years have been witness to military incursions, assassinations, regime change, coups, etc. Today, after two decades of peace with the U.

If he had the chance to do it all over again, HBO president Casey Bloys wouldn’t have announced “Confederate” via a press release.
“We could have done a better job with the press rollout,” Bloys said to critics at the Television Critics Association press tour, admitting that while they had anticipated triggering controversy, he wished they’d taken a different approach. Specifically, he said that he wished they had let executive producers David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Nichelle Tramble Spellman, and Malcolm Spellman lay out their vision for the show right from the beginning.

Can things get any worse for our crew on The 100? The 100 Season 4 Episode 6 proved once again that these guys can't catch a break.
Below, TV Fanatics Yana Grebenyuk and Allison Nichols are joined by Samantha Coley from Tell-Tale TV to discuss everything that went down during “We Will Rise.“
Check out their thoughts, and chime in with your own by leaving us a comment below. (Be sure to tune in for The 100 Season 4 Episode 7 on Wednesday, March 22nd at 9/8c on The CW.)
What did you think of the Clarke/Bellamy/Roan world-saving team-up?
Yana: Listen, I'm extremely weak when it comes to this threesome because of how much goes on there. Bellamy/Clarke obviously have a wonderful partner relationship. Then you have Roan and Clarke that sometimes give off serious big brother/little sister vibes when they try to plan things together.
And Roan/Bellamy just sit around and sass one another.

Did the alliance between Clarke and Roan stick?
That was the key question on The 100 Season 4 Episode 6 when the pair were forced to join forces to deliver an asset to Abby and her team after their minds were almost taken over by Alie.

It appeared that things were finally looking up for our heroes towards the end of an action-packed The 100 Season 4 Episode 6.
But, of course, I should've known better – in the hour's final moments, everything took a drastic downward turn.
View Slideshow: The 100 Photos from "We Will Rise"
"We Will Rise" followed three intersecting but distinct plots.
One arc followed Bellamy, Clarke, and Roan as they set off on a mission to deliver the last remaining hydrazine to Raven at Becca's lab, after the catastrophic destruction of Arkadia on The 100 Season 4 Episode 5.
Without the hydrazine, Raven wouldn't be able to blast off into space and so wouldn't be able to cook up Becca's nightblood recipe with Abby. (Yes, I'm calling it a recipe.)
This unlikely trio's adventure was easily the most exciting aspect.
The tension was high as the three shaky allies journeyed to Becca's lab to deliver the hydrazine to Raven.

I maintain that it’s difficult to write about The 100 week to week. It’s an opportunity I’m grateful for, but I still often struggle to come up with words to describe it and my thoughts on it. This is the case because it maintains such a high level of intensity, and each episode is so exciting and fun to watch that it’s hard to critique. I feel like my reviews turn into just me raving about how much I love the show each week, but I guess it is what it is. Because I do love the show, and I’ll try to

The people of Skaikru cannot catch a break. Their Plan B just literally went up in smoke. Without their ship, not only do they have no place to ride out the radiation, but day-to-day living until their faces melt off is going to be tough. On the upside, soon, many of them will be dead.

Clarke's mission to save her people will not be ending on The 100 Season 4.
The CW has handed the post-apocalyptic drama an early renewal for Season 5.
There was never really any question about whether the series would be renewed for another go around.
Ratings are down, but they are still on par with some of the other series the network has renewed.
An episode order is yet to be confirmed, but the series has premiered mid-season for past two seasons, so it would make sense for the network to stick to that pattern.
Season 4 premiered in February and has followed the characters as they get to grips with the news that Earth is about to be attacked with radiation.
Creatively, the series is on fire.
After some questionable storyline choices on The 100 Season 3, the show is back on track.

Arkadia was destroyed on The 100 Season 4 Episode 5, but there may still be hope for humanity yet -- if Abby and Raven have anything to do with it.
The title of the upcoming The 100 Season 4 Episode 6 is "We Will Rise," which definitely suggests hopefulness that Clarke and her people will find a way to rise from the ashes of their fallen home once again and find a way to survive.
"We Will Rise" finds Roan, Bellamy, and Clarke working together once again to deliver the only remaining rocket fuel to Becca's lab, in what's sure to be an exciting, heart-stopping, and incredibly tense installment.
Will the trio accidentally squander humanity's last hope? Or will they pull it off an allow Raven and Abby to get the rocket into space so they can generate more nightblood?
Check out these images from The 100 Season 4 Episode 6 below for a hint of what's to come,...

Things went from bad... to worse... to sorta okay... and all the way back around to bad again on The 100 Season 4 Episode 5.

Kunal Kapoor's upcoming film Veeram's soundtrack 'We Will Rise' has been nominated for the Original Song category at the 89th Academy Awards. The movie is an adaptation of Shakespearan classic Macbeth which is an old-new take on Macbeth. The song has found its place in a list of 91 songs from eligible motion length pictures. Sung by Kari Kimmel, it has been composed by Jeff Rona who has also composed the music for movies like Phantom, God of Water, and Traffic III amongst others. This is for the first time in the history of Indian production that a tri-lingual film has achieved this feat. Completely elated with the prestigious moment, the film's director and National Award winning film-maker Jayaraj Nair said, “Nothing is impossible for an Indian.
