Another needless thing, in which jaded young human being is whining about needless things. Since there is nothing left to say, people are saying that there is nothing left to say. Ok, we get it. Stop repeating it. It is pretty pointless to make pseudointellectual, dull, mechanical and superficial movie as a critical commentary to pseudointellectualism, dullness, mechanization, and superficiality of our world. All that spleen, cynicism, emptiness and disappointment is nothing new nor interesting.

For those who want to read about this movie before they decide if to watch it, Don't watch it! You will feel like you had conversation with a robot, had sex with a sex doll. It is very depressive movie for which on can find no reason, why it is made. Even depression and pessimism are lifeless. Spare your self.

Reminiscent of Mike Myers Dieter in Sprockets! Similar to Das melancholische Mädchen, Dieter was also a bored, sad, disaffected German expressionist who interviewed celebrities in whom he was barely interested. Art for art on top of art inside of an artcicle is not a statement, it is an 76 minute cry for attention aimed solely at the kind of critics that pan highly audience rated movies because they think that only they "understand" what real art is. It is so telling that this movie won awards in Germany, the birthplace of actual great films. Das Boot, Lola Rennt and Metropolis spring to mind. Verschwenden Sie keine Zeit!
