- In the DLC, Octolings reveal a lot of skin, but no nudity
- One pop star named Marina wears revealing attire with her midriff top barely zipped and shiny like latex and trousers slightly sagging down to the side, revealing her waist. She always greets you in "Inkopolis News" every time you start your game.
- Marina's casual gear is a bit revealing as well, consisting of a cropped-off turtleneck exposing her midriff, and her capris show some of her skin.
- In the game's DLC, Octo Expansion, there is a part where you can customize your Octoling avatar. They appear to you almost bare, scantily covered by kelp. They show a lot of skin but no nudity.
Violence & Gore

- Splatting is equivalent to death in Splatoon, and they will explode, creating bomb explosion- sized ink (small) around the area.
- In the game, you are not rewarded for killing other players or shooting at them. You are instead rewarded by covering up more turf.
- In the main story or in the co-op mode, you can shoot and kill aliens causing them to explode into paint and other parts of the squid like body.
- Mild and Infrequent scenes of Peril are mostly seen towards boss fights.
Profanity

- Some rude dialogue, no swearing.
- 2 characters frequently call each other rude names, mild swears can be heard once or twice but nothing even close to h*ll, d*mn or sh*t.
- Bisk, the shoe vendor, owns a shop called "Shella Fresh".
- One of Pearl's songs has a ton of symbols in the title, heavily implied to be a vulgar song.

- There are certain tickets you can achieve different ways, that grant a player bonuses are a match. The food gives you Coin/XP boosts while the drinks increase your chances of a specific secondary ability on your gear. The food is a little easier to get than the drinks.

- In the game DLC, after completing tartar's requests, it turned out the phone wanted you to make a blender,You and Cap'n Cuttlefish will step into the blender to reach the surface, but Tartar planned it to turn you into little pieces.
