I want to make a preface: if you live in the world of made-up sentences, stereotypes, politically correct, etc.... you do not need to go further, this review (and this anime as well) is not for you; for those of you interested in the content or reality behind just watching pictures, you should continue.

Difficult to ignore the book as it is completely different from the anime; e.g. The last 2 episodes of the anime are totally invented and later on in the manga there is even a chapter explaining why Yukana accepted the first invitation (which is the foundation of the whole series).

Going straight to the anime alone: it is a rom-com based on an initially immature teenager trying to learn how to deal with girls, "by chance" he ends up dating the top gal of his classroom.

I am sure many people will yell of fan service mainly due to the point 1 below, however I think it is much more realistic than it seems at first sight (which is a big plus for me usually).

There are 2 major mistakes: 1. The caterpillar (or if you prefer "heavy bulldozer") factor: so imagine that you have to move 1 meter of sand, in order to do it you send 3 supercaperpillars, result: ok done but for sure some people will say "why the ... the screen is always 90% covered by giant blades?! (you know how caterpillars looks like), it's clear you do not need 3 supercaterpillars for it; 2. Minoru (one of Junichi's friends) is a perv. And it's not clear here what is the opinion of the director, especially in the last episode, it's not clear if this is seen as positive or negative (so very bad because not stigmatized as it should be).

On the positive side, in an anime you can make use of the pauses, so you can create awesome scenes like e.g. When Junichi meets back his friends from the proposal and tell "Sorry, I got a text"; this kind of scene could be the cornerstone of any teenager boy's real life.

Awesome anime. Please realese season 2 as fast as possible. It makes me feel jealous. Please realese season 2. It has some nudity scene but it's okay. Thank you.

Junichi Hashiba, is a fairly typical anime protagonist; a high school student upset that he has no girlfriend and is still a virgin, just like his friends. These friends pressure him to confess his love to Yukana Yame, a busty 'Gal' and thus presumed to be promiscuous. To his surprise she agrees to be his girlfriend. As is usually the case in such series he soon finds other girls taking an interest in him and his friends are hoping for introductions. That is apart from Minoru who has a disturbing interest in much younger girls.

This series turned out to be rather better than I expected; the story is fun to watch and there isn't as much gratuitous fan service as one might expect. The main characters are likable and most of the cast provide plenty of laughs… even if Minoru fascination with younger girls does get mentioned a little too often; at least his friends comment that he will end up in jail if he continues and when he went 'Hulk' on an obnoxious guy it was pretty funny! The story involves the sort of activities one would expect from such a series with visits to the beach, a funfair and worries from both Junichi and Yukana about how the other really feels about them. At only ten episodes the series is a little short but apparently an OVA episode is planned. Overall I'd recommend this to any anime fans looking for a series with romance and plenty of laughs; it isn't a classic but it is rather fun.

Awesome anime. It's kinda makes me jealous. I will eagerly waiting for the season 2 of it. I can't wait please make it fast. This why I am rating it 10 out of 10. Please realase season 2 as fast as you can. Thank you.
