• Sal Hunter : We have to be careful. Peters works for Bruhl. My guess is he stole the lanterna and the slide.

  Max Hunter : [sighs]  I took it.

  Daniel Hunter : What?

  Max Hunter : And then I lost it. I'm really sorry, guys. I know you're mad at me , but not as made as I am at myself right now.

  Sal Hunter : Why?

  Max Hunter : To give to Saganash.

  Daniel Hunter : You're kidding?

  Max Hunter : He promised me he'd show me who my mom was and tell me how to find her. He even showed me pictures that all looked real but, of course, it was a lie and now I've lost everything. So I'm really sorry, you guys.

  Daniel Hunter : I'd have done the same thing.

  Tess Hunter : Me, too.

  Sal Hunter : And me, too.
