Max Hunter : [to Sophie] I just wanted to... okay, um... I just wanted to say that I'm... really...
Tess Hunter : Max is not really good at saying, "I'm sorry."
Max Hunter : Yes, I am.
Tess Hunter : You're not.
Max Hunter : What are you talking about? I'm good at it... Okay, I'm not good at it.
Tess Hunter : I'll do it. Max is really sorry and he can be a jerk sometimes and he can be really hard on people even though he makes more mistakes himself all the time, but inside he's a good person. His heart is in the right place. He just wants to do the right thing. So do you forgive him?
Sophie : It's all right, Max. You have every right to be angry at me. How about we forgive each other?
-
Saganash : [to the Hunters] The Red Diamond - now!
Sophie : Finally, Dad. What took you so long. I've been waiting for hours with these Hunter jerks. Honestly, I wanted to throw myself out of a window.
Max Hunter : [to Tess] That's the last time I apologize to *anybody*.

Max Hunter : [reading the deed] "Hereby we do declare that the ownership of the estate shall be divided between the... the two great families, the Hunters and the Saganashes." Look - there's places for two signatures - Hunter and Saganash.
Tess Hunter : So both families can sign it.
Sophie : I'll do it.
Max Hunter : I told you to stay outside and guard the boy.
Sophie : Daniel can't go anywhere and there's no sign of the parents. We're so close, Dad.
[as Sophie embraces her father, she gives the Hunters a knowing wink]

Tess Hunter : [Tess covers her eyes] Ewww.

Erik Hunter : Please sign, Sophie.
Sophie : Are you sure?
Erik Hunter : Yes. It's what the Saganash and Hunter ancestors always intended.
Sophie : I'm just doing this to help you, but I don't want any of the fortune.
Kate Hunter : Maybe we can offer you something else - a new home. You're welcome to stay as long as you like.
Daniel Hunter : Yes!... I mean, if you want to stay.
Sophie : Thank you. I'd love to.
