  Sophie : You guys should know you're way in over your heads here. If you let me go, this problem doesn't have to get any bigger for you.

  Sal Hunter : Yep. Sounds reasonable. Help me with the ropes.

  Tess Hunter : Nobody's going anywhere until you tell me what you're doing here. Who are you? Are you working for Saganash?

  [Sophie shrugs] 

  Max Hunter : We have ways of making you talk, you know.

  [Max slaps a piece of duct tape over Sophie's mouth] 

  Tess Hunter : How is she supposed to talk if you tape her mouth closed, genius?

  Anika Hunter : [to Sophie]  I also heard about a guy who accidentally glued his mouth shut with Superglue. Now he has to eat through a tube in his nose.

• Max Hunter : Your coat smells like cheese and your feet are way too big for your body. Now start talking or I'll bring the duct tape, and this time some might get stuck in your hair!

  Sophie : No! Not my hair!

  Sal Hunter : [to Max]  Stop it! We're not monsters.

• Anika Hunter : [to Sophie]  Apple pie, check. Movies, check. Stuffed animals, check. And bed light, check.

  Sophie : This is really sweet of you, Anika.

  Anika Hunter : My mother taught me to be nice to everybody. That includes people we kidnap.

• Anika Hunter : Hi. Max doesn't want me to give you any more food, but I think that's mean. Daniel's making goulash. Do you like that?

  Sophie : I like goulash.

  Anika Hunter : So do you want it with meat or vegetarian?

  Sophie : Goulash without meat isn't really goulash, right?

  Anika Hunter : I know what you mean. I'm a vegetarian because I feel sad for all the animals, but when I'm eating goulash I don't because without meat, I just feel sorry for myself. Does that make me a hypnotist?

  Sophie : I think you mean hypocrite and, no, it just means you like goulash.

  [the Hunters learn that Anika allowed Sophie to escape during the night] 

  Anika Hunter : I felt sorry for her. She missed her dad. I know what that feels like. Sorry... Are you mad at me?

  Tess Hunter : No, we're not made at you, Nika.

  Max Hunter : How could you do that? Now we'll never find out the truth.

  Anika Hunter : Maybe we will. Maybe there's another way.

  [the doorbell rings] 

  Daniel Hunter : I'll get it.

  [Daniel opens the door and find Sophie standing on the doorstep] 

  Sophie : I'll tell you everything I know.
