Director Ricky Staub utilized residents of the neighborhood as talent.
Filmed entirely in North Philadelphia.
A reoccurring theme throughout the film is a sequence of vines growing from the concrete and wrapping around Zeke. In the end it's revealed that the vines are the vines of roses. This is a reference to Tupac's poem "The Rose That Grew From Concrete," in which Tupac writes about something beautiful growing from a place of hardship.
