Television Documentary with Helene FISCHER
ZeddaZogenau12 December 2023
This TV documentary by Arne BIRKENSTOCK deals with the question of why Germany still indulges in the hit genre.

The structure of the film is quite clever. On the one hand, a veteran of the German-language hit is portrayed: EUROVISION star Jürgen DREWS, who has now announced his stage farewell (wait for it!!!). On the other hand, the film follows a newcomer named Franziska WIESE. Since the film was broadcast for the first time six years ago, we now know that WIESE didn't make it. One can only speculate about the reasons. But it is clear that there is a powerful hit godfather in the business: namely the ARD editor Michael JÜRGENS as the master of the festival shows of the German television presenter Florian SILBEREISEN. It's a tough business, that much is clear. You can only see the industry's absolute superstar in short concert recordings: Helene FISCHER makes herself rare. No wonder, the hit icon has now achieved global star status in the DACH region. In 2018, FISCHER, who was also in a relationship with SILBEREISEN at the time, made it into the top 10 of the highest-earning singers in the world, flanked by nine Americans. While income can be generated all over the world, Helene FISCHER only makes her millions in the DACH region. Kristina BACH, who composed ATEMLOS DURCH DIE NACHT / BREATHLESS THROUGH THE NIGHT, FISCHER's greatest success, is asked about this phenomenon.

Interesting documentary that provides fascinating insights into a parallel world that is very successful in German-speaking countries!
