Filming began while director Robert P. Young was still a Harvard undergraduate (senior). He completed the film approximately four years later, in 2010.
Several actors who tried out for the role of "Batman/Bruce Wayne" went on to be cast as other characters: Christopher Tranchina as "Alfred," Michael Roth as "Bruce's Father," and Mike Pfaff as "Claustrophobic Thug."
Seth McIntyre (Robin) broke his arm off-set during filming; this was disguised by his cape.
Some elements are taken from the seminal Batman story "The Dark Knight Returns" (an aging, mustachioed Bruce Wayne has regrets about his career as Batman).
