Most underrated cartoon series ever
DanMihaimovienoncritic8 February 2020
The first seasons from All Hail KJ were such a surprise, but this season that is actually a season between 4 and 5 of the original series is mind blowing. There was so much humor and creativity and heart put into this series, I don't know where to begin. From the writers to the voice actors to the animators and directors, this is a work of art. I thank you all of them for creating this show and I hope they got the credit and reward they deserved for all this work. I can't wait to see now on Netflix the last season and I hope one day the show will be back.

Koto is NOT King Julien's brother!

Koto is a mountain lemur and brother of Sage Moondancer. Did the person writing the plot summary watch ANY of the episodes in this series? Incorrect plot summary aside, the series was excellent!

As a cliffhanger to the fourth season of All Hail King Julien, Exiled is both funny and serious in the best way
When the fifth season of All Hail King Julien came out on Netflix and was titles All Hail King Julien: Exiled, I became interested And when I watched the entire season, it blew me away. Before I give this some praise, my only quibble is that the pacing did drag a bit.

That being said, everything else is great. To those who don't know, the original All Hail King Julien series was supposed to take a Game of Thrones parody route, but DreamWorks Animation used it to an advantage here. And does it work? Yes it does. The story is superbly written. It manages to take a more serious turn while maintaining the silliness of All Hail King Julien while continuing the characterization of Julien. Not only that, it develops the other side characters including Mort, Maurice, and Clover as they try to gather an army that would take down Koto. Speaking of Koto, he's a really interesting villain much like Karl and balances intimidating and funny perfectly. The music score is really good, the comedy is even perfect, the action is superb, and Julien and the other characters continue to be likeable throughout the season.

Overall, All Hail King Julien: Exiled is a worthy addition to the original series. To those who haven't seen it or the original series, go check it out and you won't regret it. Recommended! :)

This is just as good as the regular all hail King Julien. Plenty of laughs and action. Love the storyline.

"I'm Okay" Give Julien his crown back!

1/6/17. I love this spin-off animated series! I hope they continue it. The reason why I watched this is because I loved the original series, All Hail King Julien. And, this series just continues with the silliness along with great animation! I have finally decided that I love Mort, and that his "I'm okay" is the coolest catchphrase EVER. Worth catching!

No business being this good

This show. This show. I didn't have any context going into it, I forgot to watch all hail king Julian and had to go back around to watch it. It was genuinely very good? Great overarching plot, great characters. Do have to complain about the gross out humor, it's too much, but the show was so...complex, otherwise. The characters were so complex. It was so bizarre, oddly entertaining, and somewhat funny? This show is like a fever dream. I could not watch it again if I wanted too, but it's such a unique experience. I don't know how to describe it, I don't know if I can. It's clear that work and heart went into it, though, from the introduction to the arcs, to the jokes.

Warning: Spoilers
Definitely a great part of the show. This is just the story, but only Koto, and his takeover. Make sure to switch back to All Hail King Julien after finishing this. (It swaps back to the show) I recommend watching it, but once Koto takes over, (On the original show) because you won't understand very well if you don't.
