Based on Ulli Lommel's biography "Factory Fame - Working with Warhol" (Belleville Publishing 2015), the story, written by Irene Höfer and Ulli Lommel, focuses on Warhol's Factory life in Manhattan during the late 70s and Ulli Lommel's and Joe Dallesandro's memories. It also interprets Warhol's belief (as confided on his 50th birthday to Ulli Lommel) that "Legends don't die, they're at the beach in Rio". Filmed between October 2016 and November 2017 on location in New York City, Hollywood, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin and Esslingen. The documentary is a journey about life in the Factory, represented by different styles of scenes. Re-enactment, where the focus is mostly on the screen tests for which Warhol, besides his art, was also famous for is one part, as well as his fascination for Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy's statement on the mystery of Monroe's death. Alongside the unique memories from Joe Dallesandro who hasn't given such a personal interview in years about his time in the Factory, Ulli Lommel provides original footage about his experiences with Andy Warhol. Special dance and singing parts in video clip style represent the Zeitgeist of the 70s and 80s and the mystery of our fascination we have for certain people is revealed with Andy Warhol's statement: It's the Marilyn, the Jackie, the Elvis, the Andy...in YOU.
