The show started with a lot of criticism and that the young Sheldon was rather, let's say.. Arrogant. What people forget to understand that initially in The Big Bang Theory in Season 3 Episode 22 - The Stair Case Implementation. We saw the similarities in Sheldon Cooper too. What we have known Sheldon now as is much different. Young Sheldon was always confused about new things but at the same time was smart. He hasn't experienced the stuff yet.
Now, coming to the show itself. Young Sheldon started with a rather fun tone but it went on ahead in a confusing manner. I wasn't sure if it was funny either. That was Episode 1. Episode 2, turned out to be pretty good. Now this Episode was really good. What I like about this is, that they implemented the NON audience laugh method. Ie Single Camera production method. This episode is something where I could see Sheldon Cooper being himself. Being funny yet understanding how the world works. His mother, of course is one of the nicest people in the show. But I could see his brother being good too. I always thought he would be more of a bully than anything else. And of course who can forget MeeMOW (Not sure if I spelled that right) I am still waiting for her to do the Napkin trick for him. There is so much to see in this series. And it has it's potential. Though I really hope the script doesn't latch onto everything what was referred to in The Big Bang Theory else it would just end quite quickly. And there is a need for giving his mother's side of story more attention. I am looking forward to the next episode, though I really hope this doesn't turn out to be a hit and miss show. It lacks details. It has to create that in a better way.
