In a former SED party members residence, the severed head is found of the corpse of Christian Gerlach, a gay rights activist missing since 1983, when he was involved in a media scandal. The state prosecution office shows informal interest. He was the secret gay partner of then disgraced and 'for family time' resigned Berlin city state justice 'senator' (minister) Norbert Lenz, against whom he was expected to testify. Gerlach's own family is also screened critically, as well as the then still quasi-clandestine gay scene. Dr. Katrin Stoll finally tackles her suspicions about father's part in her brother Konstantin's murder when their parents visit her and the team in Berlin.
