The film translates as The Endless Day and endless seems appropriate. The film starts off with three apparently abandoned children. Where are the parents? We do not know nor do we ever find out. It is always hard to make a film of this length with just three characters especially when it comes to young children. The film is interminably slow and covers a couple of days of the mundane activities of children left alone almost like a documentary then it finishes abruptly with some relief. No apparent plot I do not know why this film was made.
