It took almost 2 years to complete the production work, having around 10 schedules of shoot. Initial schedules were shot across scenic slopes of Ooty, Doddabetta. Later schedules were taken across Shimoga in Karnataka, Wayanad in Kerala to resemble the backdrop that was set in earlier schedules of Ooty.
This project was taken forward soon after having a positive thought regarding the plight of tribal community residing in foothills of Kotagiri which was scripted realistically. Actor Nassar and Producer Srinivas Rao had a brief conversation on the script and no sooner the 1st Schedule was announced in the month of March 2015.
The first opening shot of the movie was filmed in Kotagiri, dense ghats section closely to Ooty. Film-makers had a tough time in moving across locations during a tight schedule since it was hilly-top region surrounded with dense forests.
Every time when there is violence against animals or blood shed in the movie, an indication "C.G.I." appears in the lower left corner of the screen. This is to indicate that all the violence against animals and blood shots were simulated through computer graphics. This is one of those rules the Indian censor board insists, like the anti-smoking warning.
Soundtrack was completed by August 2016, having 5 tracks. Singer S.P.Balasubramaniam showered positive words on the subject and gave voice to "Edu Edu" track, which is considered to be a high-voltage revolutionary song in the second half of the film.
