Loss. Love. Friendship. Mother's Day definitely shows this. It reminds us all why we need family and friends during important parts in our lives. But it also has great visuals which convey other emotions. I personally felt some sort of moment when watching this film and I believe you empathize with Abner and how his Dad tries to cheer him up towards the ending of the film.
