Learn more- Lindsey Buckingham performs his solo hit Trouble from the 1981 album Law and Order. He appears in close-up and long view as he walks around the stage playing his guitar., all against a white background.
On one side of him are five guitarists and a bass player, all dressed in white. On the other side are six drummers, all dressed in black. The two lines of musicians form a V shape, with Lindsey in the centre. The guitarists include Walter Egan, Lindsey's long-time friend and singer of the late seventies hit Magnet and Steel, as well as Bob Welch and Bob Weston, from earlier versions of Fleetwood Mac. The drummers include Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac.
The video begins with some of the musicians mouthing an exaggerated 2 3, 4 to start the song. Lindsey then appears in a head and shoulders shot singing, and the camera pulls back to show him playing the guitar as he sings. The line of guitarists appears off to one side. The guitarists then fade out as the drummers come into view. The guitarists and some of the drummers sing harmony throughout the song. The majority of the video is variations on the centre shots of Lindsey and views of the guitarists and drummers, sometimes appearing separately and sometimes both lines of musicians in the same view.
There are two short guitar solos during the song, and the video then focuses on Lindsey, with closeups of him playing the guitar. In some shots, the picture of Lindsey's guitar is superimposed over the view of the musicians.
This is the official video released by Elektra/Asylum Records.
