  • Otis (young) cusses a lot in this film. He's cursing because it portrays how much he was troubled and angry when he was younger. His father forces him to be in a show (based on a real show that Shia was actually in) for money and fame.

  • Otis's father grows an entire crop of marijuana on the side of the freeway and shows it to his son. Both of them are shown smoking it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This movie is very depressing and sad in most parts as it revolves around a child actor living in a small motel with his abusive father who is often a lose cannon and is usually up in people's facing harassing them. There are scenes where he hits his son. He forces his son to be in a show so he can make money. It's based on Shia Labeoufs early life as an actor.
  • This movie is very emotionally intense
  • The film is very emotional, intense and serious. There are some scenes that are cheerful.

  • Otis's father is a registered sex offender. It is said that he attempted to rape a woman.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man claims that his mother's girlfriend physically abused him as a child. He also says that his mother died when she fell out of window onto the freeway
  • James Lort is very abusive to his son. He slaps him, cusses at him and forces him to be in a show just for the money. It's very realistic and very sad because some kids grow up with abusive and alcoholic dads who hurt them.
