The atmosphere is dark as one pleases, the voice of Victor Lopez is mesmerizing, the realization is excellent with an obvious aesthetic sense and a neat photography. But, the sexual dimension of the monster is almost ridiculous: a three-meter-long phallus and a head in the shape of a huge female sex overhanging two gigantic testicles. I kindly invite Alejandro Fadel to consult a shrink. In short, it's worth a try.

Fascinating yet poorly executed thanks to Thanos's sexual frustrated cousin
Karamakate3 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This was good but had much more potential that went down the road after 30 minutes.
I may have interpret the trailer wrong since it to me looked like a psychedelic film with absurd humor. I would've prefered 90 minutes of that since that kind of humor were in a couple of scenes. And a plot that would've focused more on the psychotic trio, with an impression like they were living dead, trying to find the monster.
And instead of showing Thanos's ballsack cousin, or a sexual frustrated Dementor, I would've prefered a very ambiguous klimax.

Pointless ridiculous film

Nothing really happens during the movie. You'll see a couple of decapitations, ugly characters, cops who are supposed to investigate a series of murder but who are more passive than anything else, paranormal activities that are never explained (hey, don't ask to much! lol), scenes involving motorcyclists that don't have any purpose except for the director who certainly judged it would be cool to shoot them in his movie...
And you'll listen to so-called philosophic crypto dialogues... I mean most of the dialogues doesn't have any sense or are literally boring!
And the final moments of the movie shows finally the monster. Yes, there is a monster and the production design is really good actually. But the last scene involving the monster and the main character is one of the most stupid thing I've ever seen on big screen...
A total waste of time!

Spare your precious time and don't watch this film. It's totally lame, stupid, pointless... I wish I could get those 30 minutes of my life back! There is no plot, there is no point. Art is a lame excuse for this piece of trash.
worst movie ever

Misogyny monster
meteroid26 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A story about a big fat misogynist who has a toothed fanny for a heid and an over-long curly penis and who - not surprisingly - has trouble developing intimacy with women.
Like most misogynists, he finds the only way he can connect with women is to treat them with abhorrent and shameful violence.
Even most of the macho-philosophy-cops in the film find themselves puking-up, sickened by fanny-face's violence.
In the end misogyny monster is left on his own, wailing in a beatifully filmed atmospheric landscape, endlessly trying to find a therapist, as no doubt the Director is too.
fanny = Scottish slang for 'vagina' heid = Scots for 'head'

Slow Monster (Ball)

This is not one of your usual flashy monster movies. It is quite violent and sexual overall, but most importantly the pacing might drive you crazy. Not to mention the very weird dialog. And I might be describing it too nicely for some here. Still the movie does take chances and the characters in here are really good and nicely drawn.
Again, there is not that much realism overall, but there is weirdness abound. It may not make much sense to a lot of people, but if you let yourself dive into it, relish in the mood and fantasy aspect of it, you will be rewarded. I totally get though if you think this is a waste of your time. Good thing is: you can tell early on. Do not stay and fret if that is the case.

A monster with a head full of sexual characteristics🆘🆘🆘
Democrit17 August 2023
A creature adorned with both sexual features on its head and tail... This peculiar film was nominated for "A certain look" at Cannes in 2018. To some, it might appear nonsensical, a sentiment I am inclined to agree with. It seems that the creator has indulged in Freud's sexual theories and drowned it in a sea of sedatives. Frankly speaking, comprehending what unravels within this alternate dimension, inside the director's mind, is utterly perplexing. What was the intended message or purpose? Maybe, it was an attempt to awe the audience with a profound and absurd imagination, to leave them shocked and indignant, making an indelible mark - and indeed, it has succeeded.
