- A graphic rape scene in the first episode.
- Notorious for its first episode rape scene. An inexperienced party gets caught off guard by goblins. One of the girls is raped. We see them tear off her clothes and stand behind her. She is positioned in a way where we can't see anything explicit and then we get a quick cut of nails going into her flesh followed by her crying. The camera cuts away as we see the surviving party leave with her cries in the background. Not too explicit but very emotionally distressing.
- Cow Girl, Goblin Slayer's childhood friend, is shown to be nude on occasions.
- Many rape scenes or ripping of clothes, mostly in form of short flashbacks.
- A threesome is strongly implied with the Sword Maiden, Goblin Slayer and 15 year old Priestess.
- Many women are shown nude, either with hair, shadows, or bits of clothing covering sensitive parts, or without nipples drawn.
- A woman's nipples are drawn under her shirt. This scene lasts for about 5 minutes.
- Many female characters are drawn with unrealistically giant breasts. These are animated several times to bounce or jiggle.
- Rape, sexual assault, and sexual violence are very common themes throughout the show, with characters having flashbacks to graphic rape scenes. The trauma and impact of such experiences are common topics in the show.

- The show is a very dark, mature and graphic anime. Goblin Slayer maims and brutally kills adult and child goblins, along with demons and ogres. The show also contains a very controversial sexual assault scene in its debut episode.

- Very brutal fight scenes with a lot of blood. The goblins sexually assault any female they get their hands on, there are a few torture scenes where the goblins try and lure adventurers out by hurting victims.

- There is a minimal amount of alcohol consumption. A Dwarven character gives a High Elf girl some "fire wine" which causes her to become intoxicated.
