This episode is edited in the most annoying way and it deals with the parallel stories of Debs and her sister Cindi. The annoying editing shows the two storylines developing in parallel, even if Cindi's story took place many years before Debs. The audience understand which is which because of their Mum's hair, still long and blondish in the older story and white and short in the contemporary narrative.

The whole point, I guess, would be to prove that a distorted idea about Christian behaviour may be conducive to serious trouble and that Debs doesn't know better, even if her sister was killed by her alleged "loving" husband. Most disturbing of all, is Mum's attitude and her beliefs that her son in law killed her daughter because he "loved her too much". That's such a sick frame of mind that doesn't absolutely take into consideration the fact that loving someone actually means caring about them and accepting their decisions and not being aggressive towards them.

In the contemporary storyline, Debs daughter Ronnie is so bi7chy that I almost feel sorry for John having to deal with such a monster. I like very much Connie Britton though, she has a special sweetness that she brings to the character and makes her compelling, hence the 3 stars, which the rest of the narrative and editing hardly deserve.
