Production and RuPaul ruins the show

I was rewatching and this episode is special for me, because it features Frances Bean Cobain as a Guest Judge and I got to know RuPaul back in 1993, when I was just a young girl in my early teens, thanks to those images of RuPaul with Nirvana, holding Kurt Cobain's and Hole's singer Courtney Love baby. I was amazed by RuPaul and wanted to know who she was, here in my third world country, with no internet access for me back then.
Unfortunately, the way this "All Stars" show is set, put few established and beloved queens with a lot of new ones face each other. When they enter they agree to the rules but we know they have alliances and the newer fear the established ones, with better track records. Others fear fans reactions. Whatever it is, I don't think who eventually wins is the best because of the way the elimination is played. Also, in this particular episode, I think the Queen who won the lipsync deserved the challenge win, but the other winner IMHO should have been the Queen who was safe and have the best track record, she did a better work than the other challenge winner. Also, I honestly don't think the Queen who was in the bottom and got to stay deserved to be in the bottom. Even Carson understood the resemblance. So I really think the two bottom Queens were put there by Production and RuPaul for DRAMA. Because they think drama is good. But it's not when your best artists and performers are sent home. I really can't blame the top Queens for wanting to get rid of their biggest competition who is also the one who is less close to them, but that makes the show cringy, makes the Queens look not shady but weak and it becomes boring for us audiences.
The Makeover Challenge is my favourite and this episode was certainly not, despite having 3 of my favourite Queens and Frances Bean Cobain.

I've been watching RuPaul's drag race since the first season and although I still love the show, I'm disappointed in the direction that it's been heading in. The early seasons had much more emphasis on design challenges that showed off the queens' charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. Season 3, Manila's original season, was my favourite because it was design challenge after design challenge and I was constantly gagged by the looks the queens were able to turn out with unconventional materials (eg. Hairball, Moneyball). Despite occasional controversial eliminations, judging was mostly fair and the best queens rose to to the top.
The more recent seasons including All Stars have focused more on comedy/acting challenges which I personally find boring and tedious. The All Stars format is all about reality tv tropes rather than creativity, charisma, uniqueness, and talent. I guess at least there's still plenty of nerve.
I'm not a Manila stan (I was rooting for Raja on season 3) but I don't think she should have been in the bottom this week and her unfair elimination is totally the fault of the show's format. Naomi was just trying to give herself the best shot at the crown so I can't blame her for her decision but I blame the show for its awful format. I have so much respect for Manila and I think it's sad that we're not going to see her other looks all because a gaggy shock elimination valued more to production than a queen's charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

Please dont Judge this Episode fairly. I hate Naomi´s Desicion as you do, but this EPisode was great until the end. We see some softer sides of or Queens and it was wonderful. Manilas Critiques for me were far to harsh and thats the outcome. For me Monique und Latrice were.

The episode you realise the Drag Race fandom can't handle the All Stars format.
This episode is very average, until it ends with a great and shocking twist. The episode's fan reaction perfectly displays how the fandom doesn't actually want the All Stars format to be used how it's supposed to be used. Fans like the possibility of the "lipsticks" being used strategically, but they don't like the reality.
And hence, this episode's rating has been blown to smithereens. Not because it's an actual terrible episode deserving of its score, but because the Drag Race fandom can't handle the All Stars format.

This format is based on drama and causes the fandom to go wild due to its lack of rules. The episode was disappointing as the forerunner was sent home. the judging on the episode was a little confusing as the rules seemed to change per contestant .

I love drag race and can not wait later this year to watch uk drag race. But as for this episode it has made me feel disappointed that Ru herself didn't make a stand to want happened. The other Queen should have gone straight away old and tried like gurl you had your chance and the makeup you done was terrible and the things you wear look like a rusty old disco ball. #somequeensareoldfashioned

E it a 10 just to spite them. I loved Manila and always will, but props to Naomi for having the guts the play the game as RuPaul so blatantly challenges the girls to, and also for having a killer lip-sync game. Overall the episode had everything good about Drag Race: great lip-sync, lots of drama, and lots of fashion. It was overall a 7 or 8 objectively, but a large contingent of Drag Race fans are unable to think objectively.
Strangely, I was pulling for Manila, and now want Naomi to win.

I actually like both Manila and Naomi, however, voting off your biggest competition just shows pure weakness. If you know you're the best and most fierce you have nothing to worry about then. Naomi is still young and has a lot to learn whereas Manila is truly an established RPDR legend. Im not watching any further as I couldn't care less who wins anymore.

Still trying to figure out WHY monet was top 2. i don't get it. her drag sister looked like ghost, so there's that. she should've been in the bottom.
and i will never forgive naomi smalls. the funny thing is i was rooting for her up until this episode. she was showering manila with compliments throughout the season which is funny to me, and it is obvious that she chopped manila not because latrice saved her the episode before (she throws latrice under the bus the next episode lol) but because she thought she had a chance of winning if she eliminated manila (spoiler alert: she doesn't win even after eliminating manila, and even though there are two winners). don't get me wrong, she killed the lipsync and i used to love her drag, but i no longer like her and it just doesn't matter to me what she does. now all i remember her by is being the villain of the season.
i also very clearly remember the episode before, when she was in the bottom with valentina, she told during her confession that she would be very disappointed if elimination was based on friendship rather than performance. she wanted a fair judgement for herself whereas she was unable to do so for manila the very next episode. such a hypocrite move.
this season of all stars was bad and to be completely honest, manila was the most prominent reason why i kept watching. she was making great reality tv. i think naomi is young and really not that smart, oh and also maybe easily impressionable. i believe she voluntarily became the black sheep this episode (during the lipsync it was obvious to me monet did not want to win -she chose manila too- which was smart because she did not receive as much backlash as naomi did). thanks to naomi and monet, now i absolutely hate this season.
