To Brighton, To Brighton, has been one of the most engaging stories from the team, not that episodes haven't been of the highest quality, but this was a good old fashioned mystery, you were left wondering who, what and why literally until the very end.
It didn't have the wow factor that the first episode had, that was exceptional, but it was still a very high standard indeed. As per usual, we got an in depth look at the four main players, this time we learned more about Nikki, and we got a glimpse into the home life of our magical Clarissa, Liz Carr has become the best character of the lot for me, I find her so engaging, the scenes with her on screen husband were lovely, a shame he doesn't get to feature more often. Always great to see Michael Landes, a terrific actor.
It's going to take a second look to fully understand what was going on, watching it with flu wasn't a great idea, I got the gist of it, but one or two things I wasn't fully understanding of. Not the explanation I was expecting. One thing I would like to know, if that couple were so cash strapped, how could they afford a property overlooking the sea?
Terrific once again. 8/10
