WOW such a great ending
Chocoalatv16 December 2018
Such a clever writing, just brilliant! So satisfied with the way it ended - such a clean ending that it could well be a series finale, but I do hope they make more seasons! I can't wait for the new season - shouldn't have finished all 10 episodes in 2 days. Oh well, I'll just watch all 3 seasons once more. :)

Excellent Show with Excellent Storytelling!
coreydingus8 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Great ending that serves as both a good way to lead into a possible season 4, or a satisfying conclusion to the series (though let's hope it doesn't come to that)!

There's SO MUCH potential with stories for a season 4 & beyond that it would be a real shame if Netflix cancelled this series. And with them losing all the Marvel shows, plus all future Disney content in three near future, they should be hanging on tightly to any and all content this good.

On top of that, there's not a lot of good serious sci-fi out there at the moment (outside of a handful of shows like The Expanse, 12 Monkeys, Humans, Star Trek Discovery, The Man in the High Castle and The Orville), and Netflix would be wise to support one as unique and well written as Travelers.

It fills its own niche, and does it well, and the best part is the storytelling potential is limitless. ***Spoiler Incoming***

"Protocol Omega" is spoken by David as his last dying words, prompting the team to come to terms about what their lives will now become, and why the Director has abandoned this timeline. The reason? Traveler 001 basically wins, torturing info out of Grace, abducting Marcy in hopes of getting dormant info in her head to access a backdoor into the Director to hack his way to victory. Marcy kills herself to prevent this, but ultimately he prevails anyway, setting into motion a series of events (overwriting world leaders, firing nukes, etc.) that lead to the future the Travelers have been trying to prevent.

However, they realize the Director left all the tools right in front of them to be able to at least live & fight another day. They can send 1 person's consciousness back to before 001 arrives in 2001 & send a message to the future to warn the Director of what is to come. Grant volunteers, as he's the only one who knows the exact time & coordinates of a host (where he first meets his wife), and he quickly goes straight to the World Trade Center building to email the Director.

He's successful, but instead of waiting there for the plane to hit, we see him realize something & depart. Then we segue to Marcy meeting David on the bus for the first time, presumably pre-traveler takeover of Marcy (though before anything made her mentally inept). They talk, flirt, and begin planting the seeds of their relationship all over again (that was nice to see... their relationship is one of the highlights of an already fantastic show).

Lastly, we cut away to a black computer screen with the message "TRAV PROGRAM VER ONE" & "Status: FAIL" on it. Then it types out "RESET, LOAD SEQ: TRAV PROGRAM: VER TWO..... BEGIN," suggesting that everything we've seen through the first 3 seasons can be done over in a different way.

The great thing about that is they can either attempt everything again in a similar way, only now without Faction members or other rogue elements stopping the team, or they can go an entirely different route all together, tackling a whole new set of obstacles, as the future may very well have already been changed fully by Grant's email.

Ideally we'll still get the same characters as Travelers, as their chemistry is too damn good to mess with, but there is so much new territory to explore with this revelation. Lastly, the acting was top notch all around, which it always has been. It's rare that I sincerely forget I'm watching actors, but everyone is so committed and delivers everything so naturally that I can't help but feel I'm watching actual people live their lives!

Hopefully, Netflix will do everyone a favor and announce a season 4, and I hope my overly long gushing over the excellence of this show hasn't put anyone to sleep!

A season finale of epic proportions
Shortreviews15 December 2018
I am a massive fan of this show but I was worried at the end of season 2. I assumed the next season would follow one of a few arcs that ranged from good to disappointing. I usually can predict how a story will go and am rarely surprised but....this season came right out of leftfield. I am not going to spoil it. Suffice it to say this SEASON finale was up there with the SERIES finales of Person of Interest and 12 monkeys. I can't give it higher praise than that. The end of a mere season is as excellent as the final episode of two other stunning shows. Now I'm really nervous about season 4. Thanks to netflix taking over the production, the writers and producers will have a lot more artistic leeway so, chances are high that it will be as good or better.

Great show, great season ending
shopping-0685419 December 2018
I have been a huge fan of this show since I discovered it three years ago. I binged this in two days and the entire season was great. The cast is very talented, lead by Eric McCormack. This season had a very intriguing premise where high ranking non-travelers knew of the existence of them. A fourth season was teed up perfectly by this episode and I hope Netflix votes to renew it.

Absolutely Amazing!
luisrosa-2642921 December 2018
It had been awhile since i had watched the second season of Travelers, so I did'nt have any particular expectations for this season. This season absolutely blew me away with its acting, producion, writing, basically everything around it! Definitely one of the best seasons of television I've watched this year!

Yes, this episode could be the series finale but I seriously don't want it to be. I need more from this awesome show!

Totally enjoyed this show. Finale had everything it needed. Sad that it didn't get picked up for more episodes and sad it took me so long to find this show.

Mind Blowingly Good
xjumper6527 December 2018
This season finale was better than most series finales. I love, love, love this show. The writing is fantastic and the actors are impeccable!!! Now I can't wait for season four and beyond. As far as I'm concerned, as long as they keep up the quality they can't make these episodes fast enough for me.

Bravo! Damn I love this show. Binged it straight through.👍🏻👍🏻
reddawn32914 January 2019
I really hope there's a season 4! Great writing this season. I was pulled in immediately. I hadn't planned to binge the whole season in one sitting, but it was so good! If you are contemplating this show, stop and just watch! I'm prob going to rewatch it all! So many pleasant surprises in s3 that I didn't see coming. I won't say more but I was definitely blown away & I usually can see where a storyline is going. This was so unimaginable yet amazing & entertaining. I hated that it ended, the seasons so short, I was left wanting more of the characters. They really developed all the characters & gave their story arcs tremendous depth. Even the peripheral characters were given story depth. Showing more of how each significant other is effected by the travelers. I just adore David. His character is so genuine & sweet. We need more men like him in the world. There's some technical stuff that I was kind of lost with but it didn't matter to the overall stories. I got the gist of it. I just can't remember some details from s1&2 because it's been a while since I viewed them.

Amazing! Beautiful!
digitalparadise-231 January 2019
A beautiful ending to season 3 with an opening for another season. Please Netflix, give us more! The actors were so good and their characters taught us so much about humanity. David and Marcy's ending and their whole story was very touching. I'll miss seeing these guys.

Best Episode of the Series
beckymundy11 January 2019
I do not want this series to end because I love it so much, but if it does, this episode was near perfection. I just watched it a second time and appreciate the writing, acting and story line even more. Chills and tears.

I don't understand the 9s and 10s for this episode.
mypodcastfeedback17 October 2021
I'm convinced that the people that rated this episode as a 9 or 10 were overwritten by the director and their mission was to rate this episode high.

Maybe. Maybe. Had season 4 been produced this episode could be seen in hindsight as a good episode. It should have been a great set up to a season 4. But instead. It's just another time traveling show that unraveled at the end.

Basically this episode tells the audience that you wasted your time watching 3 seasons.

Woo that was awesome ending!! Never in my mind came a thought of that ending. That was totally surprising finale for Season 3, and maybe for overall series...until they come up with season 4.

This season has been amazing, I've cried and I've laughed. It allowed me to truly fall in love with most of the characters and I just wish to see more of them in season 4.

Well.....
nnom356 February 2019
.....played. Well played indeed. Can't remember the last series I enjoyed this much. I'll definitely be watching it again one day. Although I freely admit Mackenzie Porter brought a performance that couldn't have been matched by another, and I felt her to be the glue for the show. Just my two coppers.

One of the best season finales
gideon-grindey11 January 2019
Wow.. I love this show and was not dissapointed with the season finale. I was worried that the writers were going to tie up all the loose ends just in case the next season wasn't commissioned. This one just left me hungry for more.

One of the better seasons of Science Fiction ever...
LeatherCajun28 April 2021
If you are reading this and this show sounds even a little interesting, check it out. The first and parts of the second season had a lot of trouble in the writing department...some just terrible writing. This season and this final episode was quite fantastic for genre science fiction TV. You can see the energy from the actors step up a huge notch when they see they are getting great scripts. WHY IS SO MUCH WRITE ON TV SO BAD...including ON THIS SHOW. Anyway, skipping through season 1 and most of season 2 are worth setting yourself up to watch some really well done science fiction TV.

Great ending
cak_22-460-8787523 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The use of time travel is very clever and at some points genius. The whole cast are great actors and play their parts beautifully. My main issue with the show is many of the side plots involving the characters past and present home life are uncompelling and really drag the show down for me. They are far too long and drag the show down. The best character in the show is Marcy. Her past and present story line is amazing. She has the only compelling love story that is genuinely beautiful. I am honestly so grateful their story is given somewhat of a happy ending in the shows final moments. The built up of Marcy and David's love story is damn near perfect. So the last two episodes is so heartbreaking I actually cry just thinking of how it ends before Grant goes back and changes the timeline. I don't think Marcy would have killed herself if David hadn't just died. Thank god Grant went back to change the future and we get to see Marcy and David meet each other for the first time on a bus because they had a horrific ending at first. With the show being cancelled I'm okay with how it ends because their meeting for the first time on the bus hints at an even better future for Marcy and David. The only characters I genuinely cared about.

We
akaslammin14 April 2023
A bit disappointing. Why didn't they just do that at the end of season 1 or at any point after 001 was introduced. The producers would have saved themselves a lot of money and we, the viewers, could have saved ourselves 20 episodes.

It was an interesting and fun series with plenty of drama, interesting concepts and engaging characters. Well performed and well written.

But this final episode seemed a bit ill conceived as if the writers couldn't seem to find a way to solve and conclude the story.

I suspect it was written at the last minute when they were told they didn't have funding for a 4th season.

So good!

Warning: Spoilers
I did love this entire series and was very glad to see the final episode show us the "restart" that Grant performed. I actually cheered when I saw Marcy and David meet on the bus! Yay! But then I started thinking about the others and realized that none of them would still be alive :o( Phillip ODs, Trevor gets punched out in the ring, Carley gets killed by drunk Jeff (who ruins the baby's life!), and Grant ends up at the bottom of the elevator shaft. Woe is me!! I hope there is a season 4 (fingers crossed!) and if there is that somehow they are saved again for some reason :o)

Cracking Finale, even if they crammed everything in
simon_sanos28 February 2019
The entire show had been entertaining and season three was really powerful, especially the way they toyed with our emotions by messing with our favourite characters.

The final episode felt a bit rushed; I definitely had the impression that they wanted a full 12 episode play-out but only got 10. That notwithstanding, it was powerful, clever and did reach a proper conclusion (so much so that I wonder if they do plan a session 4). If only all series were as well done.

This was an excellent conclusion to an excellent series. The first season of Bloodline was just about perfect but the series went downhill from there. Travelers just kept getting better. It will be missed.
