Just ask JK Rowling about being accused of trans phobia and the hatred thrown at her. If people don't like the show covering "political issues", there are plenty of mindless shows out there that don't. This show can be pretty cheesy at times, but at least it doesn't shy away from issues, social, political or otherwise.

Why can't TV shows stay out of politics?

I've just recently started watching this programme and I'm very impressed with it. Not so much with this episode. The whole trans kid thing winds me right up if I'm honest. When the trans kids parents state that he isn't old enough to drive or watch an R rated movie but the doc thinks it's OK for him to start moving forward with having their breasts removed, is absolutely insane. I agree with the parents 100%. Look how many young adults are now realising they weren't trans and have had life altering surgery and will never be the same. I think it's wrong on so many levels. The rest of the episode with Maxs sisters heart etc was pretty good tho.
