  Vindicta : Oh, please, The only person you care about is yourself.

  Holographic Ensign Beckett Mariner : [laughs]  Okay, well, then why did I let you kick my ass to buy time for everyone to get off the ship before the self-destruct timer went off?

  Vindicta : Wait! What?

  Holographic Ensign Beckett Mariner : [laughs as self-destruct timer behind her counts down the last two seconds]

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : [pulls a piece of jewelry off of Tendi's head]  Oh, look! Oh, Shaxs's earring. You have to wear it! Come here. Come Hear.

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : Uh, I-I don't know. Isn't there, like, religious significance? I mean, some of his ear's still on it.

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : Come on, dude! Orions are pirates! Pillaging's your whole thing!

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : Okay, stop! It is not *my* whole thing. And for your information, many Orions haven't been pirates for over five years!

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : Okay, sorry. Look, you can just be my generic warrior henchman. Come on! Come on, let's go torture the cat doctor. Like, really torture the hell out of her.

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : Her name is Dr. T'Ana. You're *way* too into this. This is messed up.

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : It's the holodeck. It's not real.

  [holographic characters start attacking Mariner and Tendi] 

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : [after Mariner kills the attacking holocharacters]  What is with you today? This is not healthy. Can we stop the movie?

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : No, I'm fine. This is feeling good. Come on, let me just take down the captain, and then we can grab tacos.

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : I don't want to watch you phaser the captain.

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : Phaser? *laughs* Oh, it's going to be *way* worse than that.

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : I am out of here. Arch!

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : Hey, come on.

  Ensign D'Vana Tendi : [exiting holodeck]  This isn't you.

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : It is too!

• [On a planet, Mariner has just toppled over a statue of a rat person. Dozens of formerly-oppressed lizard people are cheering her] 

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : [standing heroically on an ATV that she used to topple the statue]  The lizard men will no longer be subject to rat oppression!

  [Lizard people cheer] 

  Rat Prisoner : Aw, they're no oppressed. We raise them as food. They- they like it.

  Lizard Guard : Well, we are delicious.

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : No. You should be free to do whatever you want. What do lizards like to do?

  Lizard Guard : Mm... bask?

  Ensign Beckett Mariner : Okay. Then you should bask without fear of being eaten.
