A bold step to sprout the intensity of forgiveness into an individual. Indeed, It may impact on every soul out there watching this! Mostly I liked the perception of the lady Kia Scherr, A victim of 26/11 mumbai attack, who lost her whole family - "To be unforgiving is like taking poison and hoping your enemy dies. But we're the ones that have taken the poison".
Forgiveness is best example of happy life

Well made documentary

Was overwhelmed. Cinematography, music, narration everything was on point. Only Aamir khan is able to spot and produce this kind of art time and again. Sad about the underwhelming response this gem received from television audience of our country. Media is flooded with reviews for many crap movies acted by so called heroes in the name of commercial cinema but could find only very few for this documentary even here in IMDB.
A Masterpiece

You will cry, you will be emotionally drained, you will be internally shaken and you will learn forgiveness. Rubaru Roshni is a in one experience. One of the best movies on compassion ever made. Every single human being should watch it. ScreenplayS & editing is so precise that you get to know why Aamir Khan is the best story teller in India
A story of forgiveness

Forgiveness is way above the self ego. Those people who forgives their enemies is just remarkable. I can't do this, I really appreciate who forgives their enemies. Hats off Amir Khan..this documentary teaches us so many things.

Loved it first.. Then thought

Warning: Spoilers
I have never left a review on imdb.. This is my first. I first gave this documentary 9 stars after the first story then saw more and thought more.. I love your effort Mr. Aamir Khan.. But going into deeper psychology you might understand there's a difference between forgiving and encouraging a victim personality and thus encouraging criminals.. . I can imagine and appreciate the inadain-nes/forgiveness but would it discourage criminals from such actions..
I have been a victim of a similar situation and I understand forgiving would make me sleep better but would it discourage others to commit such evil actions..
I can be relatively big hearted to forgive but I still would never want anyone to ever commit such crimes. So i'm sorry but NO.. if you act like monsters and destroy lives You can't expect complete FORGIVENESS.. that is why in all your stories the culprit could never forgive himself.. That is the reason the Law exists and doesn't forgive.. If I kill and be EXTREMELY guilty.. That's not enough.. Just not enough
Mind blowing

Most peaceful and graceful way of showing hard hitting reality
prakashmarwal31 January 2019
A film for everyone. The hard hitting reality couldn't have been shown in a more graceful way.
A short film with a big lesson for humans - forgiveness is key to happiness.
With the current situation of increasing intolerance, this movie makes you think what is the fuss all about. Coz in the end, the culprit and the victim both suffer equally.
Weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave.

A total tear-jerker.
This film brings three extraordinary story of forgiveness, repentance and humanity into the light. This film takes you in a different zone altogether. It happens very rarely that a film like this get made. Congratulations to the makers.

Rubaru Roshni is a documentary film by Amir khan productions which has telecasted on television for the first time. It has 3 real stories in different phases that can easily give you goosebumps for multiple times and tears. I really don't want to share the spoilers but few thing i would like to explain that the theme of the movie is something which you never gonna believe or accept as an individual but it has actually happened (as it is a documentary) but it will change your mind set and the way you see worst thing in your life.
You will be left contemplating

A must watch. You are definitely touched by this movie. Violence and Forgiveness, has been narrated very well by those who experienced it themselves. You can definitely connect to the emotions of each and every character in this film.
Thank you for teaching a lesson : FORGIVENESS

I actually came across this documentary on Hotstar and very frankly veived it because l believe Amir Khan would give me something worth watching. Honestly, this is one of the best films l have ever seen . I was most touched by the second story 'The farmer and the nun ' ; the farmer meeting his 'sister nun' every Rakhi and she welcoming him with all the 'riti & rivaz' . Nevertheless, the other two stories were equally appealing . I have no words to describe the pain these three beautiful ladies have undergone through .Thanks, Sir Amir Khan and of course the team responsible for this beautiful documentary . Above all ' THANK YOU GREAT LADIES TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO WERE NOT TO BE FORGIVED.'
Forgiveness is overrated
shveerab27 April 2019
What did we achieve with forgiving, after 9 years of 26/11 where 200 innocents were mercilessly killed now in Srilanka another 300+ families mourning and our only response should be forgiving? This movie shows the criminal mindsets elegantly and glorifies forgiving which can't be the only answer for what the victims have to go through. When will Aamir make movies about Islamic hatred being imbibed into young minds, when will Aamir make movie about reforming 6th century tribal barabric ideology?
Much needed for today's times

Hatred is like poisoning yourself & Hoping Your Enemy will Die!!
zeeshanchappalwala-5072811 February 2019
A strong message is conveyed in this documentary. The world itself is a bitter place that doesn't mean you deserve to suffer your self or other human beings through the same bitterness & hatred. It's hard to forgive those who had Cause you pain but forgiveness is the only way you can overcome your pain & Live the Life for your Loved ones.
Left me spellbound.

Three stories, all having one common thread, Forgiveness. An emotional rollercoaster. Sister Rani's story was the most impactful according to me, it left me in tears. A great documentary which doesn't take sides and takes the third person perspective. Hats off to Aamir Khan for bringing something like this.
