Trent is shown using a small compact grenade launcher, this is the new Heckler & Koch Grenade Launcher Module. It has the military designation of M320, and is being used to replace the older M203 grenade launcher. The M320 can be attached to the underside of an assault rifle, like the M203, or it can also be used independently. The M320 fires the same standard 40mm grenades that the M203 does, but it also has the advantage of being able to load longer shells too, namely the 40mm Pike guided mini-missile. Unlike the M203 the M320 has a built-in laser targeting system, allowing for fire-and-forget shooting when paired with the Pike missile.
The SPIE is a variation of the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system as illustrated in the film The Green Berets (1968) with John Wayne
