- Following Heather's surprise party, the housemates try to put their differences aside for Mia's visit. What that didn't expect was the household to erupt with the most violent bout of food poisoning.
- In the aftermath of Heather's party, the interrelationships between the housemates are in shambles. Harry has been spending more time with Manju than at the house. Ainsley has been largely MIA, and even when she is around, she isn't speaking to Heather who has been trying to maintain communication. And with Ben and Liz being the only two together much of the time, Liz has once again been focusing on the little things that bother her about living with him. In analyzing the situation, Ben believes he is the center of all this strife. Coinciding with this situation is Rebecca, away on a conference, asking Ben to pick up Mia, who hasn't been feeling well, from camp and bring her home. Instead, Ben believes that Mia could stay with him until Rebecca comes home, it not only in an effort to bond with her, but as a means to bring the roommates together, Liz to be the messenger to the others of the white lie of Mia wanting to see what her father's supportive home life is all about. With Mia's visit, Ben will see what it means to be a father, from finding out what truly is behind Mia wanting to all of a sudden leave camp, to dealing with the more visceral elements of life as a case of food poisoning suddenly hits most in the house, the first victim being Mia. As they all contend too with those visceral elements of the food poisoning, things seem to being going full circle with many of them back to where they were four months ago when they bought the house.—Huggo
