The producers of this documentary film were unaware of the concurrent Hollywood production of Green Book (2018). Thus when the drama feature won the Oscar for Best Picture the night before this documentary premiered on television, it proved a most fortuitous coincidence for free publicity.
At around 43:55, the comment is made that the legal end of segregation created unintended consequences for Black businesses since everyone could shop anywhere, etc., and the clip they show of street traffic & the integrated crowd is of Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. There weren't really any Black owned businesses on Circuit Ave at the time of this clip which looks like the late 70s, to mid-80s. Date estimate is just a guess going by the clothing style.
