Certification

Sex & Nudity

  • The main character has his shirt off, in one scene.
  • A man and woman kiss briefly as they reunite. It's a friendly kiss, nothing sexual.
  • Emotional kissing scene.

Violence & Gore

  • Extensive and prolonged sequences of sci-fi-horror action violence with added yellow blood detail visible. Various depictions of dismemberment, characters putting axes in creatures mouths and moving them around and creatures getting briefly sawed in half.
  • The creature's arm frequently grabs people, bites them then rips them into pieces or grabs them and throw them around the place. No actual closeups of injury but it is disturbing.
  • A guy gets bitten in half but there's no blood or guts also cuts away quick
  • Lots of bloody gory sci-fi violence, but all is stylised and all bloody/gory moments are yellow alien blood. It's similar content to the final battle in Avengers Endgame, with Thanos' army.
  • People get bitten in half, with crunching sounds added in for the goriness of it, people get their arms chopped off, and we see them armless. Recurring character dies.
  • Before the Chris Pratt and the draftees are sent to the future, the characters are told that everyone will stop 5 feet from the ground. When the people are being sent into the future there a problem with the system's connection causing the people to miss the hight predetermined and fall onto buildings, roofs etc. it is very graphic, especially for a PG-13 rating.
  • Lots of alien blood can seen

Profanity

  • A single sequence where "shit" is said 5 times whereas the rest of the film includes infrequent uses of "bitch", "shit", "ass" and "hell".
  • The f-word is used once
  • Use of G_d d__n makes this severe.
  • There are 3 uses of the GD word
  • Shit is used 40+ times throughout.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A soldier is briefly drinking in a bar.
  • A man drinks a glass of whiskey in his work place.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Characters are constantly in peril for the entire film, there are quite a few jumpscares, and lots of bloody alien violence. This is all more intense then scary, but definitely R-rated level of intensity here.
