The wreckers
MegaSuperstar20 August 2019
Nice Disney movie, a mixture of Treasure island and Johnny Tremain, The Mooncussers (named this way because wreckers do curse the shining moon to hide for better practice their pirate acts) benefits of its cast: Oskar Homolka plays brilliantly old captain Urias Hawks turned into a wrecker and Kevin Corcoran is great as Jonathan Feathers, the young boy who helps to capture them. Based on Iris Vinton book Flying Ebony (the name of the horse Jonathan rides), the plot is nice and the story well developed and interesting, including a thrilling horse race and shipwrecks. Nice script, splendid performances by Homolka and Corcoran and a catchy opening credits song make this an entertaining and worth watching movie.
