Stays true to the source material

Having recently watched the original animation series, I could not more satisfied with this film. Calling this film "Woke trash" shows that the first reviewer has never seen the source material (be it book or film) . The characters are fun and colourful , the story captivating and I could not recommend you watch this film more.

Awesome

Given that the characters abide by the book, and the book being written even before racial seggregation was ended in the United States (2 years prior), I think it would be very lowbrow to reduce this to the multiculturalism aspect (cough).

It's a cute modern fairy tale.

Loved it

I loved the movie as both a fan of the books and the old cartoon series. It had good acting, brilliant visuals, good and sometimes even brilliant music and a great faithful way to tell the story.

Especially the child acting was really good and it made me laugh and emotional.

Beautifully told story

I've recently read the book with my 6 y/o daughter, we both loved it so much that we couldn't wait to see the movie. And it didn't disappoint us. Visually beautiful and true to the book. It's not some Hollywood super production packed with special effects and crazy action. It's a simple story about friendship, but it's so worth watching. My daughter is still under its spell, and I will happily watch it with her again and again :)
