As funny as it could be for the running time Warning: Spoilers
"Becoming Pikachu" is a 1.5-minute live action short from 2019 that is of course closely connected to the new Pokemon full feature film that came out not too long ago. Well, I don't know what this is: You could say a mockumentary although very initially, it wasn't clear how serious Ryan Reynolds actually was. I am not a fan of Deadpool, but here I liked him and the genereal idea. Reynolds keeps talking about how he transformed into character physically and mentally and the weight loss reference (until doctors would intervene) was pretty funny. I know that drastic weight changes (à la Christian Bale) are a definite help in scoring Oscar nominations, so lets see if this can be Reynolds' first. Oh well, just kidding. They central joke here is also about transforming mentally into character and how RR rambles on about how he could not pick up his girls from school because he was so much into character and Pikachu has no children, no wife was pretty hilarious. The Blake Lively comment about how he left the helpless kids alone at school was pretty funny too. In the end they are stretching the joke a bit too long perhaps, but it's not a negative deal breaker. I sure will watch Detective Pikachu at some point, probably not at the big screen, but as I love(d) the Pokemon series, I am curious about this one here too, even if it will probably take a while for me to get used to Pikachu talking. But we shall speak about the full feature film on another occasions. This short film here gets a thumbs-up from me. Go check it out, nice little appetizer it is.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a masterpiece. The greatest filmicular set of events happens in this bibliography/documentary/god. If I could make love to a peice of film it would be this one. I suggest you also make a shrine to pray to Ryan Reynolds in your closet for safe keeping.
