solid for an austrian movie
Krhhmg25 June 2019
As a longterm fan of g. friedrich i was looking forward to seeing this. unlike most other austrian releases, this one hardly needs any disgusting and revolting scenes. while a lot of native filmmakers try to express their hatred for their homeland through infantile humour, nazi references and incestual semi-jokes, the directress of "Kaviar" manages to create 100 minutes of light-hearted and sometimes even dramatic comedy. maybe the ending was a bit rushed but it doesn't ruin the enjoyable time before it. of course the creators can't avoid some political criticism which is uncannily accurate to recent events - but if you don't like the left, you just can't watch austrian flicks.

Funny with a negative point

The movie is quite funny, but of course the corrupt politician may not be from the Sozis - in Vienna. Naja.
