Not as derivative as expected

When I heard that there was going to be a direct to video sequel of Beauty and the Beast, I was appalled. But I took a chance and rented it. Using the original cast was an inspired idea! The animation is great (much better than most DTV sequels), but the CGI used on Forte (the evil organ) is distracting. The songs aren't wonderful. It's nice to explore the section of the original movie that was skimmed over. Christmas!

Little Men (1998–1999)
Wonderful!
6 April 1999
This show is wonderful. Based on Louisa May Alcott's book "Little Men", the sequel to "Little Women", this show takes place in Concord, Massachusetts. Jo Bhaer runs a school for boys, which is in financial trouble, so she starts accepting girls.

As an hour-long drama, "Little Men" is very much in the vein of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and "Road to Avonlea". Well written and acted, kids and parents should enjoy this show together.

complete and utter crap

I liked the original movie well enough, but this sequel was a total disappointment. I had hoped that it would be on par with Scream 2, but it completely disappointed me. The entire cast seems to be operating under one faulty brain. Individually, they don't make any good decisions. Such a piece of c***.

Must see
30 July 1998
I saw this movie at a sneak preview with my friend. What a wonderful movie. Drew Barrymore was terrific as Danielle, a girl pushed into servitude after her father dies unexpectedly. Anjelica Huston was suitably creepy as the evil stepmother, and it was great to see her get what she deserved in the end! The evil blonde stepsister was detestable, and the other sister turned out to be a sympathetic character, which was a nice change. Leonardo DaVinci was a welcome change as the fairy godmother-type. Very funny, well acted, sword fights, babes, dudes, what more could you want? I hope to see more of Dougray Scott in the future!
