The Prophecy (1995)
9/10
Wonderfully crafted, stylish horror film.
2 August 2000
This is one of my all time favourite horror films, and in fact one of my all time favourite movies, period. Stylishly dark and moody, this movie utilizes the judeao-christian angel mythology very effectively...there are several very powerful images used throughout (the way End of Days COULD of been). All the actors perform very well throughout, especially Christopher Walken as the Archangel Gabriel. This movie also has an undercurrent of humour just beneath its somber and serious exterior which it makes just that much more entertaining to watch. Anyone who enjoys horror movies, will love The Prophecy.

A forgotten classic...
12 September 1999
This movie is one of my favourites of all time. It portrays Julius Caesar in his later years, not as a lusting powermonger, but as a wise and benevolent dictator...tired of blood and betrayal and wishing for a brighter vision of humanity. Claude Raines gives a brilliant performance of Caesar as a dreamer, while Viven Leigh perfectly portrays the naieve yet devious young Cleopatra with her usual believability and vigor. No big explosions...no horrific violence...just a wonderfully entertaining and thoughtful film. A definate classic...not to be missed, especially if you are a fan of the costume and elegance of this period of movie.

Best Deathstalker
18 January 1999
As a big Deathstalker fan, and someone who has seen all four movies, several times over, I have to say that Deathstalker III is in fact the best of the lot. It has by far the best acting, and the best sets and while the nudity factor is the lowest of the series (and I mean come on, we all know what most people find important who like this genre of films) as far as movie quality, this is the best. Wholly entertaining, and definitely a movie worth watching for fans of the genre.
