Dödlig drift (1999)
This is yet another "Persbrandt doing his thing" movie
If you've seen one movie with Mikael Persbrandt you've seen them all. This movie is no exception. Bad acting, lousy plot and a strange product placement of Apple products makes this movie one of the worst I've ever seen. You don't feel anything for the characters in the movie, you just want them to be put out of their misery. They don't do anything rational they do the exact opposite of what a normal person would do in their place. Like in all Persbrandt movies (Beck, Sista Kontraktet among others) he is a screaming and strange social misfit. If a movie's greatness were dependent on the amount of shouting this movie would get a 8 maybe a 9 but since that isn't the case I give it a 2.
Flesh for Frankenstein (1973)
Horror Mania in 3D!
The movie is based on the classical Frankenstein story. A mad doctor and his servant trying to create human life from dead bodyparts. This time, however, they are trying not only to create life, but to create the ultimate life, the ultimate race. I saw the movie in 3D (there is also a 2D version) and I must say I was really impressed by the quality of the 3D effects. You had to use special polaroid glasses to see it but you didn't lose the colors as you do with those glasses with a red and a blue/green lens. I'll give the movie a 7 mostly because of the 3D and the cool ending, not the rest of the movie.
