I never heard of this movie until I saw it on AMC. It's a funny sex comedy about Oscar-winners Judy Holliday and Jack Lemmon realizing they were better off before they divorced. It really hasn't received as much acclaim as Holliday's other comedy, Born Yesterday (winner Best Actress Oscar - 1950) and deserves a video release.

Lana Turner made a career comeback in the superior remake of the 1934 film based on Fannie Hurst's novel of a career driven actress and her household troubles. Everything about this film is excellent: the cast, the direction, the set design, Technicolor, Lana's costumes and the solo by Mahalia Jackson. This film definitely needs tissues when watching it.
