This Matter of Marriage (1998)
Excellent romance story
Excellent romance story for those who fancy such genre. It doesn't hurt that Rick Peters is very handsome and the storyline of professional women, although not inventive, is believable. Good movie to watch.
Lexx (1996)
Intricate and exciting
This is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi story. It is dark (pardon the pun) and basic "good vs evil"...no lofty suppositions or rules to follow. It also possesses an undercurrent of sensual innuendoes that is quite appealing. The violence, although not overly done, is not understated and some may not appreciate the struggle for freedom is sometimes down and dirty. The music, as others have eluded to, is great and the concept of the Lexx and the Dark Zone as a Parallel Universe, interesting. All in all, it is a great series of movies and are worth watching .
The Three Musketeers (1973)
Best representation of the Dumas story.
This is one of the best movies made...other than the second part in 1974 which was made simultaneously and a great representation of the Alexander Dumas' book. The research done was thorough and, something which is unbelievable nowadays, portrayed quite accurately. Not only is there accuracy in the depiction of life in 17th century Paris, but the acting of Oliver Reed, Michael York, Richard Chamberlain, Frank Finley and Charlton Heston is superb and all, individually and in the ensemble, create the ambiance of the wonderful story of the Gascon trying to be a musketeer as well as the intrigue of the Palace. The editing department did a wonderful job making the complicated story line easy to follow as well as interesting and very appealing to all the senses. The movie presents us with the same excitement and charm as in the book. Portrayal of 17th century Palace machinations beckons us to take up the sword and fight for what is right. This is a picture that is worth watching over and over again...and I have...and will, many more times.
