Masters of the Universe (1987)
This movie is where it's at!!
There's only one thing terrible about this movie--It's terribly entertaining! The characters are fun, the action is cool, and the music rules!! How can you not love Dolph Lundgren as He-man? The way he delivers his lines is flawless. This is one of those movies I remember loving as a kid, and it still holds up. Heck, I think it may be even better than I remember it. This movie is very exciting and a great one to watch over and over. I'll never get sick of it!
Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1989)
Sleepaway Camp III RULES!!!!
I love this movie!! It's funny, gory, clever, and I love to watch it over and over again! Pamela Springsteen is the best!! If you like horror films, this movie is awesome! It's got all the classic elements of an eighties horror movie, including T&A, cheesy gore, quotable lines, and the ever popular heavy metal music. Kick ass! You should also check out Sleepaway Camp II. I'm telling you, these are some of the most entertaining horror films I've seen, and I've seen A LOT!!!
Predator (1987)
This movie is KILLER!!
What a great movie!! This one is Arnold's best, like, for sure! This is another one of those movies that is fun to see over and over with a group or by yourself. It's non-stop action and suspense and all that good stuff, and it's packed full of great characters. Oh, and GORE GORE GORE!!! I also admire this movie for its BLOOD AND CARNAGE!!! Yeah! I don't think I could have done it better myself. Well...unless I was given the same cast and crew and a couple extra million. Maybe then. But given that it was never offered to me, let me just say that this movie is top notch for GORE and SPECIAL FX and FUN! It's right up there with Robocop and Total Recall, so if you liked those and you haven't seen this, what's wrong with you?! Remember to rent Predator the next time you're at a video store. Trust me.
Phantasm (1979)
One of the GREATEST HORROR FILMS EVER!!!!
I don't know what it is about this movie, but I can't get enough of it. This is probably my #1 favorite horror film of all time. That's right: OF ALL TIME!! In my opinion, the Phantasm series is right up there with Sam Raimi's Evil Dead trilogy. You have to see it to understand why it's so great, and if you don't think you liked it the first time, see it again! It only gets better!! This is a great one to watch with your friends. If you don't have friends, watch it alone! It really doesn't matter that much, so don't feel bad. Anyway, very few movies are this much fun to watch. And I'm not just talking horror films, either. This one is the best! !
Babe: Pig in the City (1998)
This movie is GREAT!!!!
They just don't make movies this good anymore, and unfortunately they probably won't after how bad this one did. It's sad to see Babe: Pig in the City lose out to such movies as the thoroughly lame and pitiful A Bug's Life, but it should really come as no surprise. I think the word "quality" might scare movie goers. I always hear people complain about how unoriginal Hollywood is and how studios keep making the same movies, and yet they steer clear of anything that looks remotely new or fresh. Babe is creative, original, extremely well made, and most importantly, it's very entertaining! Don't waste your time watching Disney rehash old plots in easy to swallow packages. I don't mean to insult all those Disney fans out there, because I know there are a lot of you, but with the exception of Mulan, Disney's been sucking. An original credit sequence doesn't make up for an unoriginal plot line. You know which one I'm talking about! Anyway, I suggest you see Babe: Pig in the City as soon as possible. Don't assume you've seen it already because you watched the original. This one is better!!
