Mad Dogs and Englishmen (1995)
The Worst Film of all time ?
This film is worth seeing simply for its monumental crapness. In the first half an hour alone countless unsympathetic characters are introduced, some of whom proceed to perform random and inexplicable actions throughout. The plot is so disjointed and badly conceived, it requires considerable effort to maintain any idea of what's going on. Not that there's any reason to do so. Instead, viewers should marvel at some appallingly bad dialogue, a staggeringly inept piece of acting from Liz Hurley, and one of the most incomprehensible plotlines I've ever come across in a film. Worth watching, simply because it is SO bad.
There's Something About Mary (1998)
There's Nothing about Mary
Bar the obvious attraction of Cameron Diaz that is. Besides that if you've watched the trailer you've already witnessed all the funny parts. 2 out of ten and only because of the willy in the zip scene.
The Matrix (1999)
Excellent
I gave this film 9 out of ten only because of a very cheesy end scene. Other than that...great fun and the best special effects/fight scene choreography I've seen. Covers up a few flaws in the plot etc. Check it out.
Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Exceptional movie, very dark and oppressive
A very clever film with a strong religious undertone. A brilliant performance by Tim Robbins as a man struggling to make the final choices and direction in his life, whilst in a state of near death. An absoloute "must see film" 10 out of 10
